| The Ravenfield are
pleased to produce and maintain both the Ferranti Shirley Cone and Plate
Viscometer and the Ferranti Portable Viscometer The Ferranti Shirley is a
robust design of cone and plate viscometer which is widely used in many
industries including food science, food technology and polymer engineering.
Originally designed by Ferranti and named after the Shirley Institute (based in
Manchester, England) this viscometer is a true work-horse and was the basis of
the prototype HTHS instrument developed at BP. We work on Marks II & III of
the viscometer (but cones & plates for all models) and have the full
technical drawings and circuit diagrams as bought from the Ferranti sale! .
