Part No: PMACSTARTSIM |

It is important in
the design and operation of a pipeline system to understand pipeline start-up
pressure requirements. The operator requires to be able to predict the
propagation of liquid slugs during transient flow conditions in a multi-phase,
as created during flow rate changes, pipeline depressurisation, shutdown and
start-up operations. Simulation programmes benefit from accurate laboratory
analysis, performed on bench-scale tests: rheological studies for determining
hydraulic parameters; and corrosion tests for selecting pipeline materials and
corrosion inhibitors; and pipeline restart tests allows the operator to mimic
different temperature conditions; gives dynamic results of pressure
requirements to restart flow, the so-called restart pressure.
The PMAC
restart simulation test apparatus in conjunction with the PMAC coaxial Shearing
Deposition Cell the operator is better prepared to handle potential flow
assurance problems. |
