Part No: PMACHYDRTESTCELL |
| |
Deepwater oil
production, high pressure reservoirs and the extended tie backs all lead to an
increased risk of line blockage and loss of field production.
Although
predictive models are reasonably accurate for thermodynamic hydrate formation
they are not suitable for prediction of kinetic formation and the evaluation of
the newer generation of kinetic and threshold hydrate inhibitors.
The
hydrate test cell operates to measure pressure and temperature under defined
cooling conditions monitoring hydrate formation by gas absorption and formation
exotherms.. Stirring allows the kinetics to be studied under modes of constant
pressure or constant volume, validating inhibitors under multiphase brine /
crude / gas conditions. Cells are available operating at pressures from 1500 -
6000 psi and in a variety of materials construction. |
