The Model 1200 and
1250 atomspheric consistometers are specifically designed to prepare cement
slurries for the testing of various parameters in strict compliance with API
spec 10 A/B
The testing of cement slurries requires the measurement of
rheological properties, fluid loss and various other properties. The Models
1200 and 1250 provide a simple and accurate method for conditioning the cement
slurries in preparation for making these tests. API spec spec 10A section 7
outlines the requirement and provides the basis for design and operation of
atmospheric consistometers.
Cement slurries are initially mixed with a
Model 3060 or 3070 constant speed mixer in compliance with API spec A/B the
slurry is the placed in the model 1200 and model 1250 for any or all the
following tests.
* Determination of rheological properties *
Determination of fluid loss * Water content of slurry * Arctic cement
testing
The Models 1200 and 1250 are used in laboratories in oil well
cement research programs, research and testing of cement additives cement
manufacturers quality assurance programs, and in the research and field labs of
well servicing companies |

| The operation and
calibration of Models 1200 and 1250 are simple and easy to learn. The cement
slurry is prepared in accordance with API spec 10B. |

| The temperature of
the water bath is indicated on the temperature controller panels of both the
1200 and 1250. The model 1250 has a strip chart recorder to make a permanent
record of the temperature and viscosity during the test. |
